How to Fall Asleep Faster and Go Deeper with One Simple Breath Practice
Sleep might be the most important thing we can do for our health — yet it’s also one of the hardest things to get right.
Most people simply don’t give themselves enough of it. They go to bed late, wake up early, and settle for mediocre sleep that never quite recharges them.
But what if there were a simple way to dramatically improve the depth and quality of your sleep, without adding hours or complicated routines?
A few days ago, we started working with a new technique — a breath practice that’s become an instant favorite. It’s simple, it’s free, and it works.

The 15-Second Breath Hold Technique
Here’s how it works:
When you’re in bed and ready for sleep, just begin to observe your breathing.
Notice your natural rhythm without forcing it.
Eventually, you’ll feel your body wanting to take an extra-deep inhale. That’s your cue.
1. Take that inhale.
2. Then exhale all of the air out — empty your lungs completely.
3. Hold your breath for 15 seconds (no less, but not more than 20).
You can count with your fingers or in your head — but no phones, no bright screens.
Then inhale again and repeat the process two more times, for a total of three cycles.
As you do this, your nervous system begins to downshift. Your body’s chemistry shifts toward recovery.
You’ll feel yourself drop into a deeper, steadier state of rest.

Why It Works
This simple practice calms your autonomic nervous system and helps your body release residual tension from the day.
It’s also the first lesson inside the Body Recode Intensive — because sleep is that important.
We start with the breath because it’s the gateway to your entire recovery system.
When you restore proper respiration patterns, everything else — posture, performance, pain relief — starts to improve.

For Busy Professionals, Not Perfect Schedules
We get it — most adults can’t just “sleep more.”
You’re busy, you’ve got responsibilities, and long, perfect routines don’t fit real life.
That’s why we keep it simple: one small, powerful technique that helps your body recover more fully in the hours you already sleep.
This is just one of many practical methods we teach in the Body Recode Intensive, a six-week program for busy professionals who want to overcome pain and restore peak performance — sustainably.
